Much garden furniture is produced of wood and in order to maintain the beauty of the natural wood grain, it is very important you clean and oil the garden furniture right from the beginning. The oil finish will offer an excellent protection of the wood and ensure the durability for several years. PROTEGO Garden Furniture Oil may be used for both basic finishing and rejuvenation of the furniture. The oil has advanced built in technology ensure protection against UV rays from the sun and rain. This means that rain water will remain on the surface and evaporate and not enter the grain. This is a big advantage and ensures beauty of the furniture. Rejuvenating the furniture is with Garden Furniture Oil is easy after cleaning with PROTEGO Exterior Cleaner.

How to do :

1. The furniture must be completely clean before oiling. New furniture may be cleaned with Wood Quick and old furniture either with Wood Quick or with the more intensive Deep Cleaner A & B. Leave the furniture to dry for approx. 24 hours. Remove wood chips or rough fibres with fine sandpaper. Stir the oil carefully before application. Apply the oil with brush or cotton cloth in an even saturating coat. Start with the end grain. Application only in dry weather. Avoid heat and direct sunlight.
2. Carefully remove excess oil after max. 20 min. with clean lint-free cotton cloths. Draw special attention to joints and cracks. Repeat the process in case the wood does not appear saturated. Carefully polish with a polishing pad to achieve an especially hard-wearing surface. The oil is complete ly hardened after 24–48 hours depending on weather and temperature. Do not expose the furniture to water during hardening time.
